What we supply
Nitric acid splits into two commercial streams. Weak nitric at 60–68% is the nitration and passivation acid used across dye intermediates, fertiliser and stainless fabrication. Concentrated nitric acid at 98% is a different handling proposition altogether and moves in stainless tankers and lined drums.
Velora supplies both. Which one you need is usually obvious from the process, but the storage and materials question that comes with it is where plants get caught out — we would rather raise that at the enquiry stage than after a tanker has arrived.

Price
Nitric acid is made from ammonia, so its price follows ammonia and therefore natural gas — when gas moves, nitric follows a few weeks later. Concentrated acid carries a clear premium over weak acid because of the extra concentration step and the stainless logistics it requires. Freight and the tanker type then complete the landed number.

Weak nitric at 60–68% is what most nitration and passivation work uses and is the cheaper, easier material to handle. Concentrated nitric at 98% is for processes that specifically need it — it costs more, fumes far more aggressively and needs stainless equipment throughout.
No. Nitric is a strong oxidiser and contact with organics can ignite. It must be segregated from solvents, oils, rags and combustible material. If your store is tight on space, plan the segregation before ordering rather than after.
