Each alkali is quoted per kg or per tonne, landed at your site, in writing. The number moves with the producer's rate, freight to your pin code, packing and the quantity you lift, so we do not publish a list price that would be stale within the week. Send the product, grade, quantity and delivery point and the written offer usually comes back the same working day.
No. Soda ash is sodium carbonate (Na₂CO₃), a milder alkali sold as a powder; caustic soda is sodium hydroxide (NaOH), much stronger and sold as flakes or 48% lye. They are not interchangeable — see the soda ash and caustic soda pages.
