What we supply
Sulphuric acid moves in more tonnage than any other industrial chemical, and for good reason — it pickles steel, makes fertiliser, sulphonates detergent feedstock, regenerates ion-exchange resin and neutralises alkaline effluent. Velora supplies commercial and battery grades, and dilutions where a plant wants the acid delivered at working strength rather than diluting on site.
The grade distinction that matters commercially is iron and colour. Battery grade is the tighter of the two; commercial grade is what pickling lines and effluent plants normally buy. We confirm which one a line is quoted against in writing before the purchase order, not after.

Price
Sulphuric acid is a by-product economy as much as a manufactured one — a lot of it comes off smelter gas, so its price moves with metals output as well as with sulphur and freight. Because the acid is cheap per tonne and heavy, freight is an unusually large share of the landed cost, which means distance from the source plant often matters more than the ex-works number. Send us the delivery point and we will quote landed, not ex-works.
Questions
Battery grade is made to tighter limits on iron and colour because those contaminants shorten battery life. Commercial grade is entirely adequate for pickling, effluent neutralisation and fertiliser duty and costs less. If your process is sensitive to a particular trace element, tell us which one and we will quote against that parameter.
Yes, at strengths through the 33–70% range. Delivered dilution saves you the dilution step and the heat-removal problem, but you pay freight on the water — worth comparing both ways for your volume, and we will lay out the comparison if you ask.
Yes. The GHS-format safety data sheet and a representative certificate of analysis go out before any commercial discussion, so EHS and QC can clear the material first. The batch-specific COA travels with the despatch documents.
We quote sulphuric acid per kg or per tonne, delivered to your plant, in writing. Acid prices swing with sulphur and smelter by-product supply, and freight is a large share of the landed cost, so a published rate would mislead. Send grade, quantity and pin code and you get a firm number with validity, usually the same working day.
