What we supply
Sodium hypochlorite is liquid bleach at industrial strength — the standard disinfectant for municipal and industrial water, the bleach for textile and laundry duty, and the sanitiser across food plants and CIP systems.
The commercial unit that matters is available chlorine, not the percentage of salt in solution, and it falls over time. That makes freshness and turnover more important with hypo than with almost anything else we supply, which is why we plan call-offs against consumption rather than filling a tank and leaving it.

Price
Hypo is made from chlorine and caustic soda, so it sits inside the chlor-alkali economy and often prices softly when chlorine is long. It is mostly water and it degrades, so freight and turnaround dominate — buying from far away is usually a false economy because you receive a weaker product. We quote landed, on a delivery schedule matched to what you actually consume.
Questions
Faster than most buyers expect, and faster in heat and light. Material stored warm through a Gujarat summer can weaken noticeably within weeks. Plan deliveries against consumption instead of holding large stock, and store cool and dark.
Hypo is cheaper per unit of oxidising power and is the standard for water disinfection. Peroxide leaves no chloride and breaks down to water and oxygen, which matters for textile and paper work with chloride limits, and for effluent going to a sensitive receiving body. Tell us the duty and we will say which we would use.
Mixing it with something it should not touch. Acid releases chlorine gas — that is the best-known one. Ammonia and ammonium salts release chloramine, which catches out food and dairy plants using quaternary and ammonia-based cleaners. Hydrogen peroxide reacts violently with it. One rule covers all three: hypochlorite gets its own bund, its own pump and its own hoses, shared with nothing, and every line clearly labelled.
Hypochlorite is quoted per kg or per tonne of solution at a stated available-chlorine level, landed. Because it loses strength in storage, compare quotes on chlorine content at delivery, not just price per kg.
