What we supply
PAC is the coagulant that has largely displaced alum in Indian water treatment, and for practical reasons: it works across a wider pH band, needs less alkalinity correction, produces less sludge and performs better in cold water. Plants that switch from alum usually find they dose less and de-water more easily.
Velora supplies both the liquid, normally around 10% Al₂O₃, and the spray-dried powder at around 30%, which is the sensible form when the plant is far from the source and paying freight on water makes no sense. A high-concentration 17% liquid grade is also available where a plant wants fewer tanker movements but still doses as a liquid.

Price
PAC is made from aluminium hydroxide and hydrochloric acid, so it moves with both. The real commercial decision is liquid versus powder: 10% liquid is cheaper per tonne but is roughly 75–80% water, and the powder runs about three times its strength, so beyond a few hundred kilometres the powder usually lands cheaper per unit of Al₂O₃. Questions
For most water and effluent duty, yes — it works across a wider pH range, needs less alkalinity correction, generates less sludge and performs better in cold water. Alum is still cheaper per tonne, so for a plant with easy pH control and cheap sludge disposal it can still make sense. Compare on total cost, not on the drum price.
Liquid if you are close to the source and have bulk storage. Powder if you are far away, because you stop paying freight on water, or if you have no tank. Send us your delivery point and monthly quantity and we will tell you which one lands cheaper.
That has to come from a jar test on your actual water — it varies with turbidity, alkalinity, temperature and what else is in the stream. Anyone quoting you a dose without seeing the water is guessing.
PAC is quoted per kg or per tonne, landed. Powder costs more per kg than liquid but carries far more alumina and much less water, so compare on alumina content delivered, not on the headline rate.
